The practice of Yoga
is an extraordinary means
to achieve physical

The word “yoga” means joining or connecting. It’s an ancient holistic tradition that unites body, mind, and spirit - bringing these into harmony and balance. Hatha yoga is a mindful practice which focuses on physical strengthening, flexibility and detoxification of the body. Hatha yoga also focuses the mind and allows you to be more in charge of your thought process. Present moment awareness and compassion are practiced throughout class. Breathing and meditation practices are introduced.

Diane Kovanda, M. Ed.,

a holistic health practitioner and educator, has been practicing  hatha yoga for over 25 years. She is the director of training at Kind Yoga School. Kind Yoga is based in Hatha Yoga with a focus on ahimsa and karuna, which cultivates a profound respect and compassion for the self and others.
Diane is certified in Kripalu Yoga and assists with yoga teacher certification at Kripalu. Diane has an extensive background in body/mind approaches to wellness including training in mind/body medicine with Herbert Benson, MD at Mind Body Medical Institute, a license in therapeutic bodywork, certification and training in Reiki, Polarity, and stress management.
She continues to deepen her understanding of yoga through ongoing practice and study.
Diane has a relaxed, informal style that puts students at ease, her classes are informative, safe, fun, and relaxing. Diane is a Professional Level registered yoga teacher with the National Yoga Alliance -
E-RYT 500. She also speaks fluent Czech (and English).
